HELLO! My name is Maddy Govin, I am 25 years old and I have been here in Alaska for about 1 year. When people say you never leave once you make the move, I understand why now. I absolutley love living in Alaska. I am originally from Indiana, and went to college in Kentucky at Asbury University where I acquired a film production degree. I made the move to Alaska to just start over in life and figure out my next move, and I feel that I am being called to do photography and videography during my time here. I have known that I’ve been wanting to do this ever since I was little when I used to make just random funny videos with my friends. My dad has a big part in my passion because he was the one who taught me how to use a camera and edit videos when I was in elementary school. Overall, my passion is to capture moments with people that can be looked back on in the future, whether it be in a photo or a video. I have posted videos and photos on my site to display my work I have done over the years, so I hope you enjoy it.
